Steven Burgin has more than 30 years experience in the hairdressing industry. Steven trained at Vidal Sassoon and his work has taken him to Cyprus, Portugal, France and Germany doing seminars and demonstrations, as well as working on shows in the UK, including the clothes show and photographic sessions for trade and consumer press.
Steven moved to Cheshire in April 1997 and after working for salon groups in Nantwich and Chester he quickly built himself a large clientele. He wanted to put his own style of hairdressing and salon on the map, he offered clients a more individual experience and started the Steven Burgin brand in December 1999.
Lucy Welch started at Steven Burgin at the tender age of 19 in March 2010 as a colour technician. She soon developed her role and progressed as a Stylist gaining popularity with the salons clients. By 2013 Lucy was promoted to Style Director and took on additional responsibilities for salon education and creative hairdressing. Her career at Steven Burgin continued to grow and in June 2014 she gained promotion to her current role as Assistant Manager.
Lucy's education and development has been vast, courses including masterclass cutting at the Toni & Guy academy, as well as a masterclass day with celebrity hairdresser Lee Stafford at our Nantwich salon. Lucy specialises in bespoke creative haircutting and the dressing of long hair for all types of special occasions. Lucy says, "There's nothing I love more than to get my hands on a precision bob or an edgy undercut". Also adding "I love all aspects of my work, there's nothing more rewarding than doing something you love and creating an individual hair style for my clients and putting a smile on their face while doing it!"
Sophie started her career in hairdressing at just 14 years old when she had a Saturday job. She joined the Steven Burgin Team in October 2014 and her passion and natural ability to work with hair has always been clear to see says Steve, she has developed her hairdressing skills rapidly and is now qualified as a technician , creating individual bespoke colour for our salons clients.
Sophie also enjoys the people aspect of our industry and says ‘that meeting new people and making clients welcome and feeling great when they leave the salon gives me a real buzz’ and most important…service with a smile!
Our clients also tell us that she gives a wonderful relaxing scalp massage and really looks forward to seeing her on subsequent visits.
